How my journey began

A woman looking contemplatively at the ground.

After earning my elementary education degree and art certification from Baylor University, I taught school until making the decision to stay at home with our four children. During this time, I served as a leader in my local church, where I’ve served the last 35 years in various roles that have deepened my passion for spiritual formation and discipleship.

I went on to earn my master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2016. During this time, I also worked on campus in the spiritual formation program, training future leaders in the transformative journey of life in Christ within community. After that, I pursued a two-year specialized training in spiritual direction, receiving my Selah certificate through Leadership Transformations.

I find deep joy in walking with others as they journey with Christ, listening together for the movement of the Holy Spirit. My approach is to cultivate an attentive heart, trusting in God’s ongoing work of transformation in others’ lives. In my free time, I enjoy experiencing God’s goodness, beauty and truth in the world, especially through literature, art, theater and music. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and family as well as kindred-spirit friends over a strong cup of coffee.
